Shipping Policy

Overview

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed directly through the Born Scum website. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to this Shipping Policy, which is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

Order Processing

Processing times begin after an order has been successfully placed and payment has been authorized.

Processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Processing may be delayed due to:

  • Order volume
  • Inventory availability
  • Production schedules
  • Preorder products
  • Holidays
  • Weather conditions
  • Equipment maintenance or failure
  • Supply chain disruptions
  • Fraud prevention review
  • Other circumstances beyond Born Scum's reasonable control

Orders are processed only on business days unless otherwise stated.

Shipping Methods

Available shipping methods and estimated delivery times are displayed during checkout.

Estimated delivery dates are provided by the shipping carrier and are estimates only. They are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the shipping method selected, package weight, destination, and other applicable factors.

Shipping charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where Born Scum determines that an error occurred in fulfilling the order.

Order Acceptance

Submission of an order does not guarantee shipment.

Born Scum reserves the right to delay, refuse, cancel, or modify any order before shipment in accordance with our Terms of Service.

Address Accuracy

Customers are solely responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information.

Born Scum is not responsible for delays, delivery failures, additional shipping costs, or lost packages resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated shipping information provided by the customer.

Address Changes

Requests to change a shipping address after an order has been placed are not guaranteed.

If an order has already entered production, been packed, or been transferred to a shipping carrier, Born Scum may be unable to modify the shipping address.

Carrier Delays

Once an order has been delivered to the shipping carrier, shipping times are controlled by the carrier.

Born Scum is not responsible for delays resulting from:

  • Carrier operations
  • Weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Customs processing
  • Labor disputes
  • Government actions
  • Peak shipping periods
  • Any event outside Born Scum's reasonable control

Tracking Information

Tracking information will generally be provided after shipment.

Tracking updates are generated by the shipping carrier. Born Scum is not responsible for delays or inaccuracies in carrier tracking information.

Delivered Packages

A shipment marked as "Delivered" by the shipping carrier is generally considered delivered for purposes of this Policy.

Customers should promptly inspect the delivery location, household members, neighbors, property managers, or other persons who may have accepted delivery.

If a package is believed to have been stolen after delivery, customers should contact the shipping carrier and, where appropriate, local law enforcement.

Born Scum may assist with carrier investigations at its discretion but cannot guarantee reimbursement, replacement, or recovery.

Lost Packages

If tracking indicates that a package has been lost during transit, customers should notify Born Scum promptly.

Born Scum may initiate or assist with a carrier investigation where appropriate.

Any replacement, reimbursement, or other resolution remains subject to the carrier's investigation, available shipping protection, and the facts of the claim.

Refused, Unclaimed, or Returned Shipments

If an order is returned because it was:

  • Refused by the customer,
  • Unclaimed,
  • Undeliverable,
  • Returned due to an incorrect address, or
  • Returned for any reason not caused by Born Scum,

the customer may be responsible for:

  • Return shipping charges;
  • Original outbound shipping charges;
  • Carrier fees;
  • Reshipping charges; and
  • Any other actual costs incurred by Born Scum.

Any eligible store credit may be reduced by these amounts where permitted by applicable law.

Split Shipments

Born Scum reserves the right to ship items separately if necessary.

Additional shipping charges will not be assessed unless disclosed before shipment.

International Orders

International customers are solely responsible for:

  • Customs duties;
  • Import taxes;
  • VAT;
  • Brokerage fees;
  • Government charges; and
  • Any other import-related costs.

Born Scum is not responsible for customs delays or import restrictions.

Orders refused because customs charges are not paid may be treated as refused shipments under this Policy.

Risk of Loss

Except where otherwise required by applicable law, risk of loss and title for merchandise pass to the customer upon delivery of the shipment to the shipping carrier.

Signature Confirmation

Born Scum reserves the right to require signature confirmation for any shipment, including high-value orders, limited releases, custom products, or orders identified through fraud prevention procedures.
