Born Scum is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide professional, accurate, and timely support to our customers.

This position is responsible for managing customer inquiries, resolving order related issues, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring each customer receives clear and consistent communication. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, detail oriented, and capable of managing a high volume of communication without sacrificing accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries through email and other support channels

• Assist customers with order status, shipping, returns, exchanges, product questions, and account concerns

• Research order history and provide accurate information before responding

• Process approved returns, exchanges, replacements, and other customer service resolutions

• Document customer interactions and resolutions accurately

• Identify and escalate complex or unusual issues when necessary

• Coordinate with fulfillment and other departments to resolve order issues

• Follow established company policies and customer service procedures

• Maintain professional communication in difficult or high pressure situations

• Manage assigned customer requests within established response time expectations

• Identify recurring customer issues and communicate them to management

Performance Standards

Performance will be evaluated based on response times, accuracy, completion of assigned requests, quality of customer communication, documentation, adherence to company policies, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred

• Excellent written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Professional and confident communication

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Ability to manage multiple customer conversations simultaneously

• Ability to follow established policies and procedures consistently

• Strong problem solving skills

• Ability to remain professional when handling upset or demanding customers

• Experience with Shopify or ecommerce customer service platforms preferred
