Born Scum is hiring a Production Assistant for our Boise, Idaho production facility.

This is an entry level, hands on production position for someone who wants to learn professional apparel screen printing from the ground up. You will work directly with our production team and learn the processes required to keep a high volume print shop running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily screen printing production

• Catch, count, stack, and organize garments coming off the conveyor dryer

• Prepare, clean, reclaim, coat, and organize screens

• Assist with garment preparation before printing

• Learn proper ink handling, screen preparation, and production procedures

• Inspect printed garments and identify quality issues

• Verify quantities and help keep jobs organized throughout production

• Keep presses, equipment, work areas, and production areas clean and organized

• Move garments, boxes, screens, and production supplies throughout the shop

• Follow production instructions and established processes

• Assist other areas of production when needed

• Learn additional screen printing responsibilities as skills develop

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday

• Comfortable working around printing presses, conveyor dryers, inks, cleaning products, and production equipment
